A relação entre identidades sociais e culturais está relacionada à percepção do indivíduo em relação ao coletivo ao qual pertence. A identidade social é um conceito que surgiu como objeto de estudo na segunda metade do século XX, devido aos inúmeros movimentos migratórios que ocorreram após a Segunda Guerra Mundial.
