Atualmente, a prova está estruturada em quatro grandes áreas do conhecimento: Linguagens, Códigos e suas Tecnologias; Ciências da Natureza; Matemática e suas Tecnologias e Ciências Humanas e suas Tecnologias. A matriz de referência de Linguagens, Códigos e suas Tecnologias, que abrange a prova de inglês do Enem, é constituída por nove Competências, uma para cada área do conhecimento, sendo que estas estão distribuídas em 30 habilidades. Uma receita culinária, por exemplo, tem a função co- municativa de ensinar o leitor a produzir certo prato, enquanto uma fábula busca ensinar uma lição moral. Enem Foco no 6 Apesar de mais descontraídas, as questões baseadas em tirinhas e cartuns costumam ser desafi adoras porque exigem que o leitor compreenda a mensagem escondida no humor. A questão a seguir, da prova de 2010, representa bem esse tipo de avaliação. Ao responder à questão, busque evidências que provem a sua escolha. H6, H23➔ Texto Qual é a relação entre os personagens presentes? Qual é o fato criticado ou ironizado? Onde podemos encontrar o elemento de humor? O autor do desenho detalha os diferentes acessórios e características de um celular e, a julgar pela maneira como os descreve, ele a. prefere os aparelhos celulares com flip, mecanismo que se dobra, estando as teclas protegidas contra eventuais danos. b. apresenta uma opinião sarcástica com relação aos aparelhos celulares repletos de recursos adicionais. c. escolhe seus aparelhos celulares conforme o tamanho das teclas, facilitando o manuseio. d. acredita que o uso de aparelhos telefônicos portáteis seja essencial para que a comunicação se dê a qualquer instante. e. julga essencial a presença de editores de textos nos celulares, pois ele pode concluir seus trabalhos pendentes fora do escritório. (Enem 2011) A tira, definida como um segmento de história em quadrinhos, pode transmitir uma mensagem com efeito de humor. A presença desse efeito no diálogo entre Jon e Garfield acontece porque a. Jon pensa que sua ex-namorada é maluca e que Garfield não sabia disso. b. Jodell é a única namorada maluca que Jon teve, e Garfield acha isso estranho. c. Garfield tem certeza de que a ex-namorada de Jon é sensata, o maluco é o amigo. 7 A habilidade de inferência também é comumente exigida nesses gêneros. Diferentemente da letra de música, a poesia apresenta uma estrutura fi xa. 2. Tanto a letra de música quanto a poesia podem ser carregadas de palavras com sentido conotativo. 3. Antes de responder à questão do Enem de 2012, leia apenas o poema e identifique o sentimento da personagem. 2. Agora leia a questão completa e responda. Your accent wrong. No poema, a personagem descreve uma prática racista que provoca nela um sentimento de a. coragem, pela superação. b. vergonha, pelo retraimento. c. compreensão, pela aceitação. d. superioridade, pela arrogância. e. resignação, pela submissão. 2_CS3_4005_ING_V1_EX01_M16.indd 12 8/11/16 10:16 AM 13Identificação e Análise de Gêneros Textuais Fechamento Tirinha e Cartum Esses dois gêneros geralmente são publicados em websites, jornais e revistas. Ambos podem conter jogo de palavras e, por utilizarem registro informal, é comum conterem expressões idiomáticas e verbos frasais. A tirinha é dividida em quadros, apresenta personagens fixos e costuma abordar temas universais e atemporais. Geralmente não está atrelada a um contexto histórico. O cartum é considerado uma piada ou anedota gráfica que faz uma crítica sutil e bem-humorada aos valores sociais e costumes humanos. É produzido com continuidade, publicado periodicamente e usa pessoas comuns e desconhecidas como personagens. Poesia e Letra de Música Esses dois gêneros são formas líricas de ficção e têm como um dos objetivos principais tocar a sensibilidade do destinatário. Tanto a letra de música quanto a poesia costumam estar carregadas de palavras com sentido conotativo. Normalmente são divididas em versos agrupados em estrofes. Dica de estudo Talvez mais importante que a tradução seja o hábito de tentar sempre interpre- tar canções. Sempre que possível, procure usar letras de músicas do seu gosto para praticar interpretação de texto. Da mesma forma, não se deixe intimidar pela poesia. Nesta seção, nos concentraremos em polissemia, expressões idiomáticas e ordem das palavras. Aspectos Linguísticos Polissemia 1 Em inglês, a palavra course, por exemplo, pode ter mais de um signifi cado. No entanto, o contexto costuma limitar a quantidade de signifi cados para que não haja problemas de comunicação. Fechamento Leitura de Enunciados No Enem, a leitura cuidadosa dos enunciados é parte essencial da resolução das questões. Geralmente as instruções são apresentadas em forma de sentença a ser completada, e é possível, facilmente, identificar o gênero do texto utilizado, o que pode ajudar na resolução. Uma dica é tentar transformar a frase a ser completada em uma pergunta. Ainda nessa leitura, a localização de palavras- -chave também pode auxiliar. Normalmente são substantivos ou verbos localizados na sentença a ser completada. Lembre-se de, depois de identificar o gênero textual, ler o enunciado, identificar as palavras- -chave e tentar transformar a sentença em pergunta. Estratégia de Exame Ao ler as alternativas, tente eliminar ao menos duas que mais se distanciam da res- posta correta. Fechamento Leitura de Elementos Não Verbais Linguagem não verbal, em oposição à linguagem verbal, é aquela que não utiliza palavras para estabelecer comunicação, ou seja, utiliza-se de signos visuais. Ela inclui a análise da expressão facial e corporal das personagens, além da análise cuidadosa do cenário e dos demais elementos e cores. A habilidade de ler nas entrelinhas é também conhecida como inferência contextual, porque fazemos uso de todo o contexto apresentado para compreender a ideia principal do texto. Temos os seguintes recursos disponíveis: • conhecimento prévio do tema; • elementos não verbais; • elementos comuns ao gênero textual; • conhecimento linguístico prévio; • conhecimento linguístico proveniente do contexto, ou seja, significado de palavras e expressões compreendidas do contexto. The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) also said there was a 95 per cent likelihood that global warming is caused by human activities. That was the highest assessment so far from the IPCC, which put the figure at 90 per cent in a previous report in 2007, 66 per cent in 2001, and just over 50 per cent in 1995. Reto Knutti, a professor at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, said: “We have got quite a bit more certain that climate change is largely man-made. We’re less certain than many would hope about the local impacts.” The IPCC report, the first of three in 2013 and 2014, will face intense scrutiny particularly after errors in the 2007 study, which wrongly predicted that all Himalayan glaciers could melt by 2035. Almost 200 governments have agreed to try to limit global warming to below 2°C above pre-industrial times, which is seen as a threshold for dangerous changes including more droughts, extinctions, floods andrising seas that could swamp coastal regions and island nations. Temperatures have already risen by 0.8°C since the Industrial Revolution. The report will say there is a high risk global temperatures will rise by more than 2°C this century. They could rise anywhere from about 0.6°C to almost 5°C a wider range at both ends of the scale than predicted in the 2007 report. It will also say evidence of rising sea levels is “unequivocal”. The report projects seas will rise by between 30 cm and 82 cm by the late 21st century.
