up to new possibilities.
The unnamed narrator of this story is a wildly successful novelist and
celebrity who lives in Paris with his wife Esther, a war correspondent who
speaks four languages. Their marriage has hit a dry spot and she is
restless, wanting to move on in search of her own happiness. When
Esther disappears, he is tormented and traumatized by the mystery of
what has happened to her. Has she been kidnapped, killed, or has she left
him for another lover?
Coelho has not created a masterwork on the level of The Alchemist, but
for those who are willing to travel lightly, there are some interesting
insights here on obsessive love, the emptiness of celebrity-status
success, and the courage needed to square off against the mysteries and
rewards of letting go of ego and stepping into the dark unknown.
Then Mikhail, the last person Esther was seen with, contacts the narrator
and promises to take him to her. Mikhail, a young man who works with
unhappily married couples, has his own spiritual perspective on love.

How do audiences interact with technical manuals?
As with any genre of writing, the rhetorical triangle signi�es that
audiences, authors and writing interact with one another in some way. Not
all types of writing have the same form of interaction. Because technical
manuals are more about the speci�c product and how it is used to reach a
certain goal or perform an action rather than the writing itself, the rhetorical
situation for technical manuals is greatly different than other popular forms
of writing.
There is signi�cantly less interaction between technical manuals
and audiences. The activity or task centered notion of technical manuals
forces the reader to interact with product more than the writing. The lack
of interaction and the weak ties between the audience and writing, affect
how the document is viewed and understood. The writing is seen as a
means to an end and is treated as a tool rather than a form of
communication and expression. In a sense, the writing is ignored or
overlooked as a result of the very product and people it was created for.

How do audiences interact with technical manuals?
As with any genre of writing, the rhetorical triangle signi�es that
audiences, authors and writing interact with one another in some way. Not
all types of writing have the same form of interaction. Because technical
