Há muitas formas de expressar ações no futuro. Uma forma muito utilizada é: 
Will +forma básica do verbo principal: 
The future will be wonderful. 
O futuro será maravilhoso. 
 
Usa-se a mesma forma Will( ou a forma contrata ‘II) para todas as pessoas. Com I e 
We é possível substituir Will por shall ( que tem também a forma contrata ‘II), mas 
esse uso é próprio da linguagem formal. Observe e faça a comparação: 
 
We will go to the party tomorrow. 
(Nós iremos à festa amanhã.) 
 
We’II have a lot of fun, I´m sure. ( estilo informal) 
(Nós nos divertiremos muito, tenho certeza.) 
 
We shall overcome-someday.( estilo formal) 
(Venceremos – um dia.) 
 
Para obter a forma negativa é só acrescentar not depois de will/shall. 
I will not (won´t) go to scholl tomorrow. 
 
Para obter a forma interrogativa coloca-se will/shall no início da pergunta. 
Will I see you tomorrow? 
 
 
Will indica uma ação, acontecimento, ou previsão quanto ao futuro: 
The future will bring wonderful things. 
(O future trará coisas maravilhosas.) 
Who will win the next World Cup? 
(Quem ganhará a próxima Copa do Mundo?) 
 
O shall é usado em perguntas com I ou We, quando se pede instruções ou então se 
oferece, sugere ou convida. 
It´s a bit cold. Shall I close the window? 
(Está um pouco frio.Fecho/Devo fechar a janela?)
