 PREPOSITIONS OF PLACE
As preposições de lugar definem o lugar em que algo ou alguém está ocupando em relação ao espaço. São elas:
On : sob, em cima de
Example
The pillows are on the couch. ( as almofadas estão em cima do sofá)
 IN: dentro de 
Example
The mouse is in the box. ( O rato está dentro da caixa)
UNDER: em baixo
Ex:
The ball is under the box. ( A bola está em baixo da caixa)
BEHIND: atrás
Ex: The ball is behind in the bóx. ( A bola está atrás da caixa)
 
IN FRONT OF: na frente de/ em frente 
Ex: The mouse is in front of ( o rato está em frente da caixa)
 
BETWEEN: entre ( no meio de 2)
Ex: The box is betweenthe balls. ( A caixa está entre as bolas)
 
NEXT TO : próximo
Ex: The mice are next to the car. ( Os ratos estão próximos do carro)
