My sister is always scared when it rains this much. I have to confess: I love the rain, I'm not afraid of anything that comes from it. The more rain, the better. I mean, there is an exception: usually, with it rains, tree frogs appear in the bathroom and I'm afraid. That icy skin of them gives me anguish. When we were children, we spent our holidays in Roraima. We slept under three Benjamin figs. Benjamin fig is a very leafy tree. Even if it rains, the rain doesn't fall on us. It stays in the top of the tree. I think it was those rainy nights, with a lot of wind and me lying in my hammock that has made me fall in love with the rain. During those rainy nights under the Benjamin figs, we would tell terror stories. But not known horror stories. In Roraima, there is a lot of contact with indigenous culture, so there was a mixture of elements of urban culture with indigenous culture. Each year, when I returned to Porto Velho, I have tried to do the same thing, but it wasn't as fun.
