PAST TENSE We use the past simple when we want to describe an action that started and ended in the past In the affirmative with regular verbs we should add ed to make the verb in the past In the affirmative with irregular verbs we do not need to add anything, they have a fixed form In the negative we use did not to indicate past. As did is an auxiliary in the past the verb do not need to be conjugated in the past Subject+ did not + infinitive verb withou to In the interrogative we use did in the beggining of the sentence and as did is an auxiliary in the past the verb do not need to be conjugated in the past Did+subject+infinitive verb without to See --> Saw Dance --> Danced
