Installation
The fuel tank filling tube cap must be removed.
The negative battery cable must be disconnected.
The air duct located in the throttle body must be removed.
The wiring at the back of the generator must be removed.
The fuel distribution tube must be disconnected from the fuel supply and the fuel distributor tube collar must be removed.
The vacuum hoses on the throttle body must be removed.
The electrical connectors of the 8 fuel injectors must be disconnected.
The electrical connectors on the throttle body must be disconnected.
The connectors on the absolute pressure sensors of the manifold (MAP) and the intake manifold air temperature (IAT) must be disconnected.
Three ignition coils from each row (cylinders N° 1, 3, 5, 2, 4 and 6) must be removed first.
The 4 fuel distributor installation bolts must be removed.
The fuel distributor tube must be gently pulled until the injectors begin to separate from the machined holes in the cylinder head.
The fuel distributor tube (with the injectors connected) must be removed from the engine.
If the fuel injectors need to be disassembled, refer to the Fuel Injector Disassembly and Installation section.
A small amount of engine oil must be applied to the O-rings of each of the injectors.
The fuel distributor tube and injectors must be placed in the machined openings to insert the injectors into the cylinder head.
Each injector must be guided into the cylinder head.
The right side of the fuel distributor tube must be pressed down until the injectors are seated on the flange of the cylinder head.
The left side of the fuel distributor tube must be pressed down until the injectors are seated on the flange of the cylinder head.
The 4 fuel distributor installation bolts must be installed and tightened with a torque of 27 N·m (20 lbs. ft.).
The ignition coils must be installed.
The electrical connectors on the throttle body must be connected.
The electrical connectors of the MAP and IAT sensors must be connected.
The electrical connectors on all fuel injectors must be connected.

A sequência correta para desmontar e instalar o sistema de combustível em um veículo WJ é a seguinte: Desmontagem: 1. Remova a tampa do tubo de enchimento do tanque de combustível. 2. Desconecte o cabo negativo da bateria. 3. Remova o duto de ar localizado no corpo de borboleta. 4. Remova a fiação na parte de trás do gerador. 5. Desconecte o tubo de distribuição de combustível do suprimento de combustível e remova a braçadeira do tubo distribuidor de combustível. 6. Remova as mangueiras de vácuo no corpo de borboleta. 7. Desconecte os conectores elétricos dos 8 injetores de combustível. 8. Desconecte os conectores elétricos no corpo de borboleta. 9. Desconecte os conectores nos sensores de pressão absoluta do coletor (MAP) e temperatura do ar do coletor de admissão (IAT). 10. Remova primeiro as três bobinas de ignição de cada fileira (cilindros N° 1, 3, 5, 2, 4 e 6). 11. Remova os 4 parafusos de instalação do distribuidor de combustível. 12. Puxe suavemente o tubo distribuidor de combustível até que os injetores comecem a se separar dos furos usinados na cabeça do cilindro. 13. Remova o tubo distribuidor de combustível (com os injetores conectados) do motor. 14. Se os injetores de combustível precisarem ser desmontados, consulte a seção de Desmontagem e Instalação do Injetor de Combustível. 15. Aplique uma pequena quantidade de óleo de motor nas juntas tóricas de cada um dos injetores. 16. Coloque o tubo distribuidor de combustível e os injetores nas aberturas usinadas para inserir os injetores na cabeça do cilindro. 17. Guie cada injetor para dentro da cabeça do cilindro. 18. Pressione a parte direita do tubo distribuidor de combustível até que os injetores estejam assentados na flange da cabeça do cilindro. 19. Pressione a parte esquerda do tubo distribuidor de combustível até que os injetores estejam assentados na flange da cabeça do cilindro. 20. Instale e aperte os 4 parafusos de instalação do distribuidor de combustível com um torque de 27 N·m (20 lbs. ft.). 21. Instale as bobinas de ignição. 22. Conecte os conectores elétricos no corpo de borboleta. 23. Conecte os conectores elétricos dos sensores MAP e IAT. 24. Conecte os conectores elétricos em todos os injetores de combustível. A sequência correta é a alternativa a) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24.
