Ausculta pulmonar is normally performed indirectly, using a stethoscope, auscultation allows for the analysis of normal or pathological sounds of the lungs. The normal lung sounds that should appear are the Laryngotracheal breathing and the Vesicular murmur. The vesicular murmur (VM) is the sound auscultated in the regions of the chest that correspond to the lungs, this sound is due to the passage of inspired air from the terminal bronchioles to the alveoli and vice versa during expiration, therefore when performing lung analysis it is the VM that should be analyzed by the physiotherapist during auscultation. Regarding the auscultation of the vesicular murmur (VM), evaluate the following assertions and the proposed relationship between them:

I- If an area of the lung is not well ventilated, the vesicular murmur will be reduced in the corresponding thoracic region, and possibly increased in a neighboring region.

BECAUSE

II- In the case of the existence of an expiratory time equal to or greater than the inspiratory time, it is an indication of the possibility of an alteration in the structures that form the lung parenchyma.

Choose the CORRECT alternative:

A The assertion I is correct and the assertion II is incorrect.
B Both assertions I and II are correct and assertion II is a correct justification for I.
C Both assertions I and II are correct and assertion II is not a correct justification for I.
D The assertion I is incorrect and the assertion II is correct.
