será “sim” ou “não”, retiramos o “do”, “does” ou “did” e utilizamos o “if” e novamente
Direct speech: Do you like chocolate?
Reported speech: She asked me if I liked chocolate.
MAIS EXEMPLOS
Direct Question Reported Question
“Do you love me?” He asked me if I loved him.
“Have you ever been to Mexico?” She asked me if I had ever been to Mexico.
“Are you living here?” She asked me if I was living here.
IMPERATIVO
Direct speech: Sit down!
Reported speech: She told me to sit down.
(passado said) pelo verbo “tell” (passado told).
MAIS EXEMPLOS
Direct Order Reported Order
“Go to bed!” He told the child to go to bed.
“Don't worry!” He told her not to worry.
“Be on time!” He told me to be on time.
“Don't smoke!” He told us not to smoke.
ORDER”.

Comentário:
Vemos na questão o uso do discurso indireto no imperativo, na forma
negativa (Don’t).
don’t para not to e o verbo principal do discurso direto, Don’t leave para not to
leave.
2. Na frase “She said she had been driving home from work the night before, and she
found herself behind a man in a convertible” (linhas 3 e 4), a formação correta quanto
ao uso do discurso direto é:
a) She said: “I was driving home from work last night, and I found myself behind a man in a
convertible”.
b) She said: “I had been driving home from work last night, and I found me behind a man in a
convertible”.
c) She said: “I drove home yesterday night from work, and I had found myself behind a man in
a convertible”.
d) She said: “I had driven home the night before, and I found myself behind a man in a
convertible”.
e) She said: “I was driving home from work yesterday, and I was finding myself behind a man
in a convertible”.
– “She” torna-se “I”;
– “had been driving” torna-se “was driving”; e
– “the night before” torna-se “last night”.
3. The sentence "Eat up your dinner or I'll punish you", in the reported speech form
becomes:
a) She told me to eat up my dinner or she would punished me.
b) She said to me eat up your dinner or I'll punish you.
c) She told me to eat up my dinner or she would punish me.
d) She told me to eat up her dinner or she would punished me.
e) She said that eat up my dinner or she will punish me.
transformar em discurso indireto, acrescentamos o sujeito “she”, usamos o
reported veb “told” e transformamos o verbo eat up em to eat up.
