The teacher should act as a catalyst, always assisting students in their search for understanding that they are subjects who think and solve problems, encouraging them to observe, formulate hypotheses, explain, confront data, record and communicate.
The teacher should act as a passive observer, letting students discover knowledge on their own.
The teacher should act as a dictator, imposing knowledge on students without allowing them to think critically.
