O PNPIC é uma política nacional que regulamenta o uso de práticas complementares e integrativas no Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) brasileiro, com o objetivo de expandir o acesso, melhorar o atendimento e promover a saúde. A política visa integrar práticas tradicionais e complementares à medicina convencional, como acupuntura, homeopatia, fitoterapia, entre outras, para oferecer um tratamento mais completo e humanizado aos pacientes. O PNPIC também busca incentivar a pesquisa científica sobre essas práticas e promover a formação de profissionais capacitados para utilizá-las.
