What are the stages of the Public Contest (CP)?
I) Written Objective Test (PO) of Mathematics and English;
II) Written Objective Test (PO) of Social Studies, Science and Portuguese;
III) Essay;
IV) Complementary Heteroidentification Procedure to Self-Declaration (PH);
V) Complementary Events (EVC) consisting of:
a) Health Inspection (IS);
b) Physical Aptitude Test for Admission (TAF-i);
c) Psychological Evaluation (AP);
d) Document Verification (VD); and
VI) Final Result of the Selection (RF).
6.1 - The tests will be held on two consecutive days.
6.2 - On the first day, a Written Objective Test (PO) will be applied, composed of the disciplines of Mathematics and English, which will have a total duration of 5 (five) hours and will consist of 40 (forty) questions, being: 20 (twenty) of Mathematics and 20 (twenty) of English, each question will be worth 2.5 points, totaling 100 points.
6.3 - On the second day, a Written Objective Test (PO) will be applied, composed of the disciplines of Portuguese, Social Studies and Science, and an Essay, with a total duration of 5 (five) hours. The Written Objective Test (PO) will consist of 50 (fifty) questions, being: 20 (twenty) of Portuguese, 12 (twelve) of Social Studies and 18 (eighteen) of Science, each question will be worth 2.0 points, totaling 100 points.
6.4 - The written tests of the disciplines of Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Portuguese and English will be objective and will consist of questions elaborated according to the program described in annex IV.
6.5 - Candidates who obtain a score lower than 50% (fifty percent) of the questions in each discipline or in the Essay will be considered eliminated.
6.5.1- Candidates with the highest averages in the Written Objective Tests (MO) will be classified, considering ties in the last position, up to the limit corresponding to 3 (three) times the number of reserved and open competition vacancies.
6.5.2 - The average of the Written Objective Tests (MO) will be calculated according to the formula below:
6.6 - The Essay will have the purpose of verifying the candidate's written expression capacity in the Portuguese language.
6.6.1 - The correction of the Written Objective Tests (PO) will be carried out through optical reading, and the Essay by specific examining boards.
6.6.2 - The Essay must be dissertative, with clear, coherent and objective ideas, whose title will deal with a subject considered important by the Naval Administration and will be carried out on the same day scheduled for the Social Studies, Science and Portuguese test.
6.6.2.1 - Aspects and scores to be considered in the correction of the Essay:
6.6.3 - The Essay must have a minimum of 20 (twenty) continuous lines, considering the indentation of paragraphs, and a maximum of 30 (thirty) lines. It cannot contain any identifying mark or signature, which will result in a score of zero.
6.6.4 - 5 (five) points will be deducted for each line not filled in relation to the minimum number of lines or filled in excess in relation to the maximum number of lines.
6.6.5 - The Essays will receive 2 (two) grades, assigned by 2 (two) members of the Board, with the score of the test being the arithmetic average of these two grades.
6.6.6 - If the grades assigned to the same Essay present a difference of more than 20 (twenty) points, it will be submitted to the President of the Board or the most experienced Member present, for validation, who will assign a third grade, considering it as final.
6.6.7 - A grade zero will be assigned to the Essay that presents one or more of the following characteristics:
6.7 - The Essays of the classified candidates will be corrected according to the criteria established in item 6.5.1 and, in the case of the candidate competing for the reserved vacancy, their self-declaration must be confirmed in the Heteroidentification Procedure (PH) or be framed in item 8.6.1.
6.8 - The candidate framed in item 6.5 and/or who does not have their Essay corrected according to item 6.7, will be considered eliminated and will not have classification in the CP.
6.9 - The average of the Written Tests will be calculated by the formula:
