\(\Longrightarrow \int \arctan \sqrt x \space dx\) \((I)\)
Primeiro, será utilizado o método de substituição. Considerando \(t= \sqrt x\), tem-se que:
\(\Longrightarrow {dt \over dx}= {d \over dx} x^{1/2}\)
\(\Longrightarrow {dt \over dx}= {1 \over 2} x^{1/2-1}\)
\(\Longrightarrow {dt \over dx}= {1 \over 2 x^{1/2}}\)
\(\Longrightarrow {dt \over dx}= {1 \over 2t}\)
\(\Longrightarrow dx=2t \space dt\)
\(\Longrightarrow \int \arctan \color{Blue}{\sqrt x} \space \color{Red}{dx}\)
\(\Longrightarrow \int \arctan \color{Blue}{t} \space \color{Red}{2t \space dt}\)
\(\Longrightarrow 2 \int t \arctan t \space dt\) \((II)\)
\(\Longrightarrow {du \over dt}= {d \over dt}\arctan t\) \(\rightarrow {du \over dt}= {1 \over 1+t^2}\) \(\rightarrow du= {1 \over 1+t^2}dt\)
\(\Longrightarrow \int dv= \int t \space dt\) \(\rightarrow v= {1 \over 2}t^2\)
\(\Longrightarrow \int \color{Blue}u \space \color{Red}{dv}=\color{Blue}u \color{Orange}v- \int \color{Orange}v \space \color{Green}{du}\)
\(\Longrightarrow \int \color{Blue}{\arctan t} \space \color{Red} {t \space dt}= \color{Blue}{\arctan t} \cdot \color{Orange}{{1 \over 2}t^2}- \int \color{Orange}{{1 \over 2}t^2} \color{Green}{ {1 \over 1+t^2}dt}\)
\(\Longrightarrow 2\int t \arctan t \space dt= 2 \cdot {1 \over 2}t^2 \arctan t - 2\cdot {1 \over 2} \int {t^2 \over 1+t^2}dt\)
\(\Longrightarrow \int 2t \arctan t \space dt= t^2 \arctan t - \int {t^2 \over 1+t^2}dt\) \((III)\)
A equação \((III)\) possui uma integral no lado direito. O cálculo dessa integral está apresentado a seguir:
\(\Longrightarrow \int {t^2 \over 1+t^2}dt = \int {t^2 +1-1 \over 1+t^2}dt\)
\(\Longrightarrow \int {t^2 \over 1+t^2}dt = \int \bigg[ 1- {1 \over 1+t^2} \bigg] dt\)
\(\Longrightarrow \int {t^2 \over 1+t^2}dt = t-\arctan t+c\) \((IV)\)
Sendo \(c\) uma constante qualquer.
Substituindo a equação \((IV)\) na equação \((III)\), a equação resultante é:
\(\Longrightarrow \int 2t \arctan t \space dt= t^2 \arctan t - \Big[ t-\arctan t +c\Big]\)
\(\Longrightarrow \int 2t \arctan t \space dt= t^2 \arctan t +\arctan t -t+c\)
\(\Longrightarrow \int 2t \arctan t \space dt=( t^2+1) \arctan t -t+c\) \((V)\)
Substituindo \(t= \sqrt x\) na equação \((V)\), a equação resultante é:
\(\Longrightarrow \int 2t \arctan t \space dt=( t^2+1) \arctan t -t+c\)
\(\Longrightarrow \int \arctan \sqrt x \space dx=( {\sqrt x}^2+1) \arctan \sqrt x -\sqrt x +c\)
\(\Longrightarrow \int \arctan \sqrt x \space dx=( x+1) \arctan \sqrt x -\sqrt x +c\)
\(\Longrightarrow \fbox{$ \int \arctan \sqrt x \space dx=( x+1) \arctan \sqrt x -\sqrt x +c $}\)
