Orgãos Reprodutivos Sementes As sementes foram o primeiro elo entre a humanidade e a produção de plantas, na medida em que os humanos pré históricos reconheceram essa estrutura como sendo importante para sua alimentação e dar origem a novas plantas. Mas e ai, o que são sementes ? As sementes são resultado do processo de fecundação que ocorre entre os gametas masculino e feminino de um vegetal, carregando todo o material genético.Sementes Subdivididas em duas classes: Monocotiledôneas Dicotiledôneas Amiláceas: sementes que tem o amido como principal forma de reserva. Ex: milho; Aleuro-amiláceas: sementes que além do amido apresentam alto teor de proteínas. Ex: feijão; Oleaginosas: sementes que armazenam lipídeos como reserva. Ex: girassol Aleuro-oleaginosas: sementes que apresentam lipídeos e proteínas como reserva. Ex: soja Córneas: sementes onde os principais produtos de reserva são a celulose e hemicelulose. Classificações Reserva Armazenamento Dormência Ortodoxa: são sementes capazes de serem armazenadas após processos de secagem; Recalcitrantes: são as sementes que não é possível se armazenar sob condições secas. Raiz 02 A raiz é uma estrutura presente em vegetais do grupo das pteridófitas, gimnospermas e angiospermas. Está localizada na base do vegetal, geralmente abaixo do solo. Funções Absorção: Fixação: Armazenamento: A raiz absorve substâncias necessárias para o metabolismo vegetal, como água, nutrientes e até mesmo oxigênio. Essas substâncias compõem a seiva inorgânica ou seiva bruta e, uma vez absorvidas, são transportadas através do xilema para a porção aérea da planta. O vegetal necessita se fixar no solo, até por segurança para suportar mudanças climáticas, por exemplo. A vegetais específicos armazenam suas substâncias nutritivas, produzidas a partir da fotossíntese, ou mesmo água, em reservas localizadas na raiz. Essas raízes são chamadas de tuberosas e estão presentes em vegetais como o rabanete e a beterraba Classificação das Raizes Zona de Ramificação: é a região onde são formadas as raízes secundárias para aumentar a capacidade de absorção e fixação do vegetal. Zona de diferenciação: região onde ocorre a diferenciação celular para formação dos diversos tecidos que compõem a raiz. É marcada pela presença de pelos, que aumentam a capacidade de absorção de água e sais minerais pelo vegetal. Zona de Alongamento: é a região onde ocorre alongamento das células, promovendo o crescimento em comprimento da raiz. Zona de Multiplicação: região com células meristemáticas que estão protegidas pela coifa.
