VERB TO BE: AFFIRMATIVE, INTERROGATIVE AND NEGATIVE FORMS
O verbo To Be equivale ao nosso verbo ser/estar. Em inglês, além de ser verbo auxiliar (aquele utilizado para fazer perguntas, negativas respostas curtas) ele também é verbo principal. Veja as tabelas abaixo:

Perceba: Para fazer perguntas o verbo to be fica na frente do pronome ou sujeito e para fazer a negativa, acrescentamos a partícula de negação no verbo.
