False Cognates
	According to Vivian Fernandes (InfoEscola, 2007), cognates are words that have the same origin, with similar ortography. Inside each language’s evolution some words can present different meanings in different countries. These words are called “false cognates” or “false friends”.
	In English false cognates and false friends are studied in different ways, but in Brazilian portuguese they are studied together, adding simple rules.
	In Brazilian Portuguese false cognates and false friends are divided in two cathegories: “puros” or “eventuais”. The pure ones present a tottally different meaning for each language. Look at the examples below:
