O Present Perfect é formado pelos auxiliares have/has + verbo no particípio. “Has” é usado para a 3ª pessoa do singular. I have worked at the House since 2011. She hasn’t stopped her exercises yet and the kids haven’t finished their meal! Como o verbo “crescer” – você já deve ter ouvido alguém dizer isto quando criança: You have grown so much since the last time I saw you! She has had seven meetings this week. My family has been to London. Have you seen the new movie? 1. Então, se dissermos “We have worked hard all our lives” (Trabalhamos duro nossas vidas todas), enfatizamos que isso é constante em nossas vidas. Present perfect continuous: She has been remodeling the house this month. Present perfect simple: She has remodeled the house and it looks gorgeous! Ela reformou a casa, e ficou linda! A reforma já acabou, o foco é no resultado agora. Present perfect continuous: I live in New York, but I’ve been living here for the last weeks. Present perfect simple: I’ve lived here for twenty years. Present perfect continuous: They have been playing tennis for five hours. Present perfect simple: They have played tennis since they were kids. 1. Um exemplo é: Did you do your homework yesterday? Você fez sua lição ontem? Ou então: Did she go to the movies with him yesterday? Uma vez conjugados, os verbos regulares e irregulares podem ser usados com I, you, he, she, it, we, they sem mudanças! Use o auxiliar na negativa, ou seja: Did + not = didn’t (forma contraída) I didn’t go to the movies because it was raining! Reforce ainda mais a ideia de passado usando expressões como: yesterday (ontem), last night (ontem à noite), the day before yesteday (antes de ontem). A estrutura é: Sujeito + was/were + verb com “ing” + complementos: Marie was talking to her husband at the movie theater. Para esses casos, é comum usar- mos “while”. Stella was talking while the teacher was explaining the task. Stella estava falando enquanto a professora estava explicando a tarefa. They were having lunch while I was training for the match. We were sleeping when we heard that weird noise. A estrutura do PastPerfect é similar à do Present Perfect. When the kids got home, I had already prepared the dinner. A estrutura afirmativa é: Sujeito + had + particípio passado do verbo Camile had talked/spoken to her father when the phone rang. A estrutura negativa é: Sujeito + had + not + particípio passado do verbo When the kids got home, I had not prepared the dinner yet. A estrutura interrogativa é: Had+ sujeito + verb + particípio passado do verbo Had you turned off the lights when you left home? O Past Perfect teria o “had” duas vezes. If the drought continues there’s going to be a famine. No futuro as pessoas terão cabeças maiores. Se a seca continuar, vai haver fome. Estrutura negativa subject + will + not + verb subject + am, is, are + not+ going to+ verb You will not have enough money for traveling He lost his job, so he’s not going to travel with us Você não terá dinheiro sufi- ciente para viajar. Ele perdeu o emprego, então não viajará conosco. Estrutura interrogativa will + subject + verb am, is, are + subject going to+ verb What time will you arrive tomorrow? When are you going to have another party? Que horas você chegará amanhã? Quando você vai fazer uma outra festa? Qual a diferença entre will e am, is, are going to? Para esses casos, é comum usarmos “while” ou “when”. They will be having lunch while/when I train for the match. Eles estarão almoçando enquanto eu treino para a partida. A ação que ocorre simultaneamente com o will + be + verb com “ing” será repre- sentada na forma básica do verbo, sem a preposição indicativa de infinitivo.
