II, somente. III, somente. I, II e III. I e II. 03255 - NARRATIVAS DE ORDEM CLÁSSICA 4. Ref.: 6093511 Pontos: 1,00 / 1,00 Other worlds with strange inhabitants have been numerous in human mythologies and literatures. I'd speculate that, including all the fantasylands devised by children that never see publication, there are many more imaginary locations than there are real ones. Whether they are places we go after death "good or bad" or homes of the gods or supernatural, or lost civilizations, or planets in a galaxy far, far away, they all have this in common: they aren't here and now. (...) All myths are stories, but not all stories are myths: among stories, myths hold a special place. (ATWOOD, 2011, p. 27 & 47) Source: ATWOOD, Margaret. In Other Worlds: SF and the Human Imagination. New York: Doubleday, 2011.According to Margaret Atwood, myths hold a special place among stories. That is because: ... myths work as narrative superstition across storytellers, retrieving something unknown every time we tell our stories. ... myths offer a catalog of variations that only the great storytellers of our times will have access to. ... myths set a series of narrative rules that no story must disobey in order to be successful. ... myths have been studied by scholars more than any other narrative form and are thus more proper to tell stories. ... myths offer a foundation for repeating narrative structures that have prevailed across the centuries in various cultures. 5. [There] is a physical document which traces the lives of its indigenous people during a most tumultuous time, an era when the Vikings were changing the shape of society across Northern Europe and Christianity, Catholicism and Paganism were all fighting it out to be the prevailing belief system. (MYERS, 2008) Source: MYERS, Ben. "The Icelandic Sagas: Europe's most important book?". IN: The Guardian. Access on: https://www.theguardian.com/books/booksblog/2008/oct/03/1 Considering the importance of the Icelandic Sagas, mark the correct affirmative: The Icelandic Sagas deal with cultural inheritance and particular characters who were not to be exalted as heroes of the nation. The Icelandic Sagas were minor cultural manifestations discovered recently by scholars who wanted to learn the old languages of the Northern cultures. The Icelandic Sagas were only passed on from kings to princes, to keep the royal lineage preserved. The Icelandic Sagas are a contemporary literary form that reimagines the past of Northern cultures on top of research about their major family trees. TheIcelandic Sagas were fundamental to the development of a narrative style that blended historical fiction about its country¿s great families and folkloric beliefs. 03256 - NARRATIVAS DE BASE POPULAR E RELIGIOSA 7. Ref.: 6111679 Pontos: 0,00 / 1,00 The story of Bluebeard can be summarized thus: a wealthy man had a blue beard which made him extremely ugly, so that women ran away from him. It was known that he had been married several times before, but what had become of his wives, nobody knew. (...) One day, Bluebeard told his wife that he had business to attend to in the country and would be gone for several days. He entrusted her with the keys to all the various rooms in the house which contained his treasure. He told her that she was free to unlock any of the doors - with the exception of one, the door to a secret closet in the house, which she was forbidden to look inside. She agreed to his wishes and waved him off. (...) She took the key to the closet and unlocked it, and found that the floor was clotted with blood, and the bodies of dead women were kept in the chamber. The story of the Bluebeard can be read as a folktale because it encompasses the following characteristics: The story is based on true events. The story demands careful and profound study due to its complex allegories. The narrative teaches a moral lesson, in this case about toxic and abusive relations. Characters have a psychological depth to them, so no one is described as good not bad. Characters are flat, and the story narrates the battle between good versus evil. 8. Ref.: 6107544 Pontos: 1,00 / 1,00 Folktales can easily be compared to biological species which evolve through transformations leaving little evidence for posterior studies. Fossil records are inconsistent and insufficient, just as written folktales, so the reconstruction of history occurs, many times, without proper physical evidence. Select the alternative which explains the claim above: The reconstruction of the original folktales is considered irrelevant because the important study comes from the forms they have taken after undergoing the alterations each generation has produced. Folktales get told and retold with minor alterations, through oral tradition. These modifications sum up because every time they are passed on to the next generation without written documentation, they undergo changes, and their original form can end up being lost. The evolution of folktales, like that of biological species, is a necessary process because it improves the stories first told making them develop into superior narratives. Folktales, unlike biological species, will never be precisely understood due to the lack of evidence, destroyed by the passage of time. Interpreters must make their own reconstructions of the original stories, producing a great number of diverging materials. Biologists should be utilized in the process of reconstructing original folktales due to their understanding of fossil records and ability to rebuild history without sufficient physical evidence. 03257 - NARRATIVAS DE CUNHO LITERÁRIO 9.
