Parcial 2 Data: 17/06/2016 13:13:47 1a Questão (Ref.: 201408663674) Pontos: 1,0 / 1,0 Um aluno de um curso de formação de tradutores, ao se deparar com uma versão de um trecho de Hamlet adaptada para o Teatro Infantil, efetuou a seguinte tradução para a língua portuguesa: TEXTO-FONTE (EM INGLÊS): ''I have a story, that is often told / Of a Prince named Hamlet, from days of old. / His troubled mind, we shall explore, / As I take you now to Ensinore. /In this royal castle, on Denmark's coast, / Nervous sentries keep watch at their post''. Resposta: Slang refers to the use of the language in a very colloquial way. New terms are coined, "created" and used by a specific group of people - for example, rock musicians sometimes creates song were they introduce a new word that is mostly used by people who enjoys rock ("giria"). Surfers is another example - they use slang beetwen them in their interactions (in Portuguese, for example, they call themselves as "Bro"). Some slangs become very popular and sometimes become part of the everyday language of a culture. Jargon refers to specific set of words that are shared by a group. For example, IT technicians use specific jargon that others that do not belong to this professional area may not be aware of. Gabarito: Slang is defined as language used by a specific social group and jargon is defined as language used by a specific professional or interest group. For example, each generation of teenagers create its own kind of slang language. At the same time, professionals such as doctors and lawyers tend to use jargon words and phrases specific to their jobs.
