"Prose and verse are two different forms of producing literary texts and both are used for communicating content, although sometimes used to instigate imagination. However, there are differences between them, which are more than simply related to verses or text. What we learn at school is that prose is text and poetry is made up with verses and rhyme, but the differences are more complex than that".
 
Taking the previous information into account, we can state that:
		
	 
	Poetry is a genre that is about emotional, subjective questions; someone¿s inner self is the main focus and there are themes, such as: afflictions, passion, conflicts, depression, loss, etc. The language used is not necessarily narrative or descriptive, and it can be opened to some interpretations.

	In poetry, it is predominant the usage of narrative and descriptive language with visible aspects. The emphasis is in denotation, i.e., the words have literal meaning.
	
	Poetry is a genre that is about technical, objective questions; someone's inner self has to be out of focus The language used is not necessarily narrative or descriptive, and it can be opened to some interpretations.
	
	Poetry cannot emphasize the use of connotation, i.e, the words are not in the literal meaning, but in the figurative language and the author can overuse the figures of speech
