Why do Brazilian adults study English?
Because since English is a global language, it is fashionable to study it.
Because it is important if you want to communicate with other people in Facebook.
 
 
Most of Brazilian adults study English in order to travel to English speaking countries.
Because they believe that by mastering the English language, they Will be given good Jobs outside our country.
 Because mastering the English language helps Brazilians to advance in their careers

How is the English teaching and learning seen all over our country?
The following are appropriate answers, EXCEPT FOR:
 
English teaching and learning (though disseminated all over the country) are still considered insufficient in our
regular schools (most public, but some private too).
Foreign language teaching in Brazilian public schools has undergone very timid transformational initiatives in the
past decades.
 Recent solutions to the problem of teaching English in our schools have brought positive results.
Initiatives proposed the change and improvement of foreign language teaching following proposals established by
the National Education Guidelines and Framework Law, as well as the National Curricular Parameters for Primary
Education , however not much has been done.
Even though compulsory education in a foreign language starts in grade five (i.e., when children are around 10
years old), students finish `ensino fundamental¿ with very little knowledge about the language.
