JORGE ALBERTO OIELE BUSINESS PLAN FOR IMPLEMENTATION AND SALE OF BREAD IN MUXARA/PEMBA NEIGHBORHOOD Pemba, March 2024 1. Introduction Historically, the breadmaking industry is one of the sectors that offers greater acceptability in the market due to its high level of demand, as it is possible to see that bread is the most consumed product internally and externally, thus offering great financial profitability for its customers. producers, this fact has sparked interest among several investors in investing in this area of wealth production. And driven by this incessant search for financial stability, they end up forgetting the most essential thing, serving the consumer with a quality product and the necessary quantity. Therefore, these are the reasons that generate this project, with the main focus being to respond to the same reasons that led it to be created. Oiele Bakery is located in the city of Pemba , Muxara neighborhood . The aim of Bakery Pão de Oiele is to satisfy the needs of the market by offering quality bread, cakes and biscuits at affordable prices to the entire community. Its production line aims to make wood-fired bread and milk bread. 3 1 Contextualization It is a very developed and well-known project in Pemba , due to the affordable prices it has presented on the market and the high level of demand and consumption, it has seen the difficulties of other bakeries in distributing or allocating sales points in the most remote areas. of the cities, in this we saw an opportunity as people love wood-fired bread, milk bread, cakes and biscuits as part of their meals, or even for snacking, at any time and it diversifies the diet of the population of Pemba . 1. Presentation of the problem In Pemba, bakeries are located in the city area, which makes their work difficult when supplying bread to the different neighborhoods of the city, which results in the long distances traveled by the population to acquire bread. It is important to state that existing bakeries sometimes supply poor quality bread due to the high demand for this good, that is, existing bakeries are unable to fully meet the demand for bread, which forces them to produce a lot of bread, but without the necessary quality, therefore, it is in this context that the need to reinforce this area arises by creating a bakery in the Muxara neighborhood, with a view to minimizing the problems that residents face. 2. Justification The justification for this initiative lies in the fact that this project addresses priority aspects for Sustainable Development. The project aims to support commerce and business development, through on-site production and distribution of bread to the different neighborhoods of Pemba, thus being able to make a significant contribution to reducing the consumption of bread in unpleasant conditions and bringing it closer to the citizen. 4 1. Vision Establish the bakery and provide bread with recognizable quality, contributing significantly to the economic development of the Pemba district with job creation. 2. Mission Produce and supply quality bread to the domestic and foreign markets and train bakers regarding self-management. Personnel cost Description Unit Value (MT) Total Value (MT) Bricklayers 5000.00×2 10,000 Painters 2000 2000 Electrician 2000 2000 Locksmith 2000 2000 Carpenter 2000 2000 Total 18,000 18,000 9. Material resources The material that will be used to renovate the bakery is as follows: Construction material (cement, blocks, paint, brush, shovels, wheelbarrow, irons, lamps, doors, locks, hoops, kneader, sand, stones); Equipment for production area and warehouse 12 10. Material cost Description Value (MT) Construction material 25,000 Production area and warehouse equipment 35,000 Amount 60,000 11. Hired personnel As this is a bakery that is still in its initial phase, the bakery will have a baker and an assistant due to the scarcity of financial resources for their remuneration, as the distribution or sale of the bread itself is due to the same factor in the first phase. It will only be sold on the bakery premises. Because the budgeted amount of 5000 MT will only be enough to purchase the raw materials and remuneration, subdivided into 1500 MT for the baker and 1000 MT for the assistant and salesperson. Which means that the remaining 1500 MT are used to purchase raw materials and firewood for the oven. In this context, the bakery will only be able to produce 250 loaves of bread per day, which means that when the bread is sold in its entirety we will have 1,250 MT per day at the cash register, but it is important to warn that this number could rise over the days since when the bread will be sold, the amount collected will be used to boost the bakery's production capacity, therefore creating the conditions for good production by the end of the first month, supporting the start of activities, the bakery will have an estimated value of 37,500 MT in reserve, taking the amount used to carry out current expenses. Therefore, we will have more than enough conditions to expand the facilities and increasingly supply bread in perfect condition. 13 12. Total project budget The project to establish the bakery in the Muxara neighborhood is budgeted at 80,000 meticais. 13. Expected results With the establishment of a bakery of this nature in the region, the level of consumption of poor quality bread and the waste of time searching for bread will be reduced; The bakery will provide employment opportunities for disadvantaged groups;
