Lillis (2001) describes writing as practice which links language and what socially situated
individuals do both in speci�c situations and at the broader level of culture. This claim is
important here as it embeds the idea that writing connects us to our social and cultural contexts.
Baynham (1995), on the other hand, states that writing can be approached considering di�erent
aspects: The subjectivity of the writer, the writing process, the purpose and audience, the text as
product, the power of the written genre of which the text is an exemplar, and the source or

instruct. The objective is to explain and analyze information by presenting an idea, relevant
