APRESENTAÇÃO DE APOIO MINDFULNESS: O PODER DA PRESENÇA Desde muito tempo a psicologia se ocupa de investigar os estados alterados de consciência. O Mindfulness, ou atenção plena, é um estado de consciência no qual o indivíduo está conectado ao “aqui e agora”, atento aos seus sinais internos e percepções vividas momento a momento. Muitos indivíduos e organizações descobriram os benefícios do Mindfulness e suas práticas, que incluem desde simples exercícios até técnicas de meditação. A presente disciplina tem por objetivo apresentar o conceito de Mindfulness e suas principais técnicas de treinamento. Também serão abordados os benefícios cognitivos dessa prática e seus impactos no bem-estar e qualidade de vida. Ementa da disciplina Psicóloga clínica, artista marcial e neurocientista, Tamara Russell é mindfulness trainer. Seu trabalho acadêmico concentra-se na avaliação de adaptações da atenção plena para diferentes grupos clínicos, incluindo distúrbios alimentares e doenças bipolares. Ela está envolvida em colaborações internacionais, avaliando como o treinamento da atenção plena altera a estrutura e a função do cérebro. Diretora do Mindfulness Center of Excellence, em Londres, na Inglaterra, uma organização dedicada à disseminação mais ampla do treinamento em mindfulness, é a criadora do Body In Mind Training Framework, um treinamento de mindfulness baseado no corpo que permite que os indivíduos se sintonizem com as reações e respostas corporais, aumentando a conscientização e promovendo o bem-estar físico e mental. Consultora e instrutora de atenção plena em diversos contextos, Tamara Russell é autora de inúmeros artigos acadêmicos que exploram inteligência emocional, atenção plena e saúde mental.
